Christmas is coming! You listen to favorite playlists and search for the best gifts for friends and relatives. There are so many things to think about: what to wear, what to cook, where to celebrate… Decorating your home for Christmas is definitely on the list. Still, if you don’t have a lot of time for that, try some simple and easy tricks to add holiday spirit to your dwelling. For example, make the easiest DIY Christmas Wreath.
Go for a Walk
Coming back from work or going for a morning walk with your dog, look around and enjoy the beauty of a nearby park. You’ll notice many nature gifts to use when making your DIY Christmas wreath. There are many clean branches, leaves, and cones under the trees, so you don’t have to break anything. Also, don’t forget to look for some colorful elements like berries.
Once you’ve come back home with your catch, get other supplies for this Christmas garland.
- Wire circle (I’ve used a wire hanger)
- Hot glue
- Decorations (ribbons, berries, cones, etc.)
Get to Work!
If you have a wire hanger, bend it into a circle. Take your greenery and lay them around the wreath to choose how you want it to look. Once you’re sure about the amount of greenery and the direction, start gluing. There are no rules so don’t be afraid to make a mistake. You may glue greenery all around the wreath or leave a small part and decorate it with a twine like I did.
Now it’s time to add some colors! Berries, cones, flowers, ribbons – choose decorations you like and experiment. You may also add some texture by using more fir branches. If you like the minimalistic look, you may also leave it like this.
And now you have it – an easy DIY Christmas wreath. Experiment, try out different holiday wreath ideas, and don’t forget to share your results with us!
