The botanical design is the thing I enjoy. So you can only imagine my delight when I saw the IG of this great botanical artist – Living Pattern. All these beautiful plant patterns and paintings inspired me to find some more information about the artist. Reading about professionals, we become inspired and ready to develop our own art. This is the first post in the about inspirational “Plant lovers” section. I hope you’ll like it because I already do.
Living Pattern is created by Jenny Kiker, the illustrator living in Florida. The first thing I’d like to say is that you’ll fall in love with this artist’s IG. It’s bright, green, and inspirational. Jenny’s studio space is a small indoor greenhouse. It must be so great to work in a studio full of plants.
“To me, art creating with reason will never feel cold. It will remind you we are all connected.” (c)
Jenny Kiker has been working on different projects. She was working with Carter’s/Osh-Gosh, Free People, and URBN Inc. Now Jenny is growing Living Pattern. After having experienced many techniques and mediums, she has found the perfect way to create and show her audience the beauty of nature.
The artist creates beautiful paintings of tropical plants, cacti, succulents, ferns, etc. Using watercolor and ink, she turns sketches of plants into live vibrant paintings. Accurate lines and clean colors make her paintings something I’d definitely like to have in my interior. On the Living Pattern’s official website you can order species prints and hand-painted original artworks.
